Vietnam - Netherlands promote cooperation in many fields.

On March 18, 2024, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of VCCI, met with Ms. Ingrid Thijssen, Chairwoman of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers VNO-NCW.

Ms. Thijssen expressed her genuine impression of Vietnam's economic development, affirming that the commercial relationship between the two countries has existed for 400 years and continues to develop continuously.

According to her, VNO-NCW represents about 90% of Dutch businesses and, like VCCI, this organization aims to achieve the best economic policies for businesses in the Netherlands, as well as support its companies in their commercial and business missions abroad.

Ms. Thijssen assessed that many businesses operating in Vietnam are doing very well, especially many places where Vietnamese personnel are highly skilled, contributing significant value to Dutch companies in Vietnam. She affirmed that Vietnam's development goal by 2045 opens up many business opportunities that the Netherlands can achieve.

Chairman of VCCI, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, affirmed that the Vietnam - Netherlands relationship is one of the most important partnerships, especially in terms of trade. He affirmed that VCCI will take into account the opinions of Ms. Thijssen, stating that VCCI has a long-standing tradition of supporting businesses. Not only that, VCCI is also the first entity to establish indices for Vietnamese companies such as CSI, or conduct large and reliable surveys.

VCCI leadership asserted that many Vietnamese companies are aiming for sustainable growth and committed to collaborating with NCW on cooperative activities, as well as supporting Dutch businesses operating in Vietnam, while also promoting bilateral trade to new heights.

In particular, he hopes to learn from the Netherlands the best research and practical methods to ensure the harmony of the relationship between labor organizations and workers.
