The International Mining and Quarrying Exhibition & Conference, including a live field demonstration area, organized by the National Mining Association of Mongolia, will take place from October 10-12, 2024, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Mongolia's mineral resource sector is considered the backbone of its economy, contributing over 25% to GDP, more than 30% to general state budget revenue, about 73% to foreign direct investment, and over 92% to total exports. The importance of this sector is directly linked to the current economic context. Therefore, the National Mining Association of Mongolia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia, has been organizing the "Mining Week" event since 2022. The main goal is to promote Mongolia’s mineral resources sector to foreign investors and attract foreign investment.

The "Mining Week 2023" event focused on government policies, decisions, and legal frameworks in the mineral resource sector; geological exploration; responsible mining; coal, oil, non-ferrous metals, industrialization; underground mining; and high-tech applications, including around 20 conferences and specialized meetings. Over 300 guests from 20 countries, including Australia, Austria, Canada, the USA, South Korea, China, Russia, the UK, Germany, India, Japan, Finland, South Africa, the UAE, France, Spain, and Pakistan attended. Approximately 5,000 participants representing the government, private sector, civil society organizations, and businesses actively engaged in the event.

In 2024, "Mining Week 2024" will focus on key topics such as green energy transition and critical minerals, which are emerging as significant trends in the global mineral resources sector.

As part of this initiative, the "MINEPRO 2024" exhibition will be held from October 10-12, 2024, as part of "Mining Week 2024." The exhibition promises to showcase advanced advancements and innovations in the mining industry, bringing together experts and professionals from around the world.

MINEPRO 2024 will span an impressive 90,000 square meters and is set to be a remarkable display of cutting-edge mining technology. In addition to showcasing modern technical equipment, the exhibition will offer fantastic experiences, allowing visitors to explore booths and interact with industry experts. A highlight of this exhibition will be a lively, realistic outdoor demonstration area featuring heavy machinery, crushers, screens, etc., providing attendees with an authentic understanding of their functions.

Moreover, the event provides an opportunity for visitors to learn more about international partners, with dedicated areas showcasing initiatives from various countries. With approximately 320 expected exhibitors and an estimated 10,000 visitors, this event is anticipated to be a major highlight for the mining industry.
