ViceChairman of VCCI Hoang Quang Phong exchanged views with Mr. Asatur Artem, Vice Chairman of the Aluminum Association of Russia.

During the working session with Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong, Mr. Asatur Artem, Vice Chairman of the Aluminum Association of Russia, highly appreciated the development potential of the Vietnamese aluminum industry, hoping that the aluminum industries of both countries will engage in more trade activities, promoting effective commercial exchanges for member enterprises.

Mr. Artem further noted that the Aluminum Association of Russia has more than 140 member companies, engaged in production activities ranging from primary aluminum with low emissions to aluminum products used in various aspects of life such as aluminum extrusion for construction materials (accounting for 25% of total aluminum consumption in Russia), aluminum casting, aluminum extrusion for automotive, shipbuilding, household appliances, etc. Components in transportation infrastructure, especially aluminum pedestrian bridges, are highlighted.

According to Mr. Artem, Russian enterprises in general and Russian aluminum companies in particular are impressed by the development of the Vietnamese economy. Moreover, many Russian enterprises are currently employing advanced technology in aluminum production. Therefore, Russian aluminum products boast high quality and emit fewer pollutants during the manufacturing process.

With confidence in the potential for cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, the Vice Chairman of the Aluminum Association of Russia hopes that VCCI will facilitate connections and seek Vietnamese partners to exchange experiences in applying new technologies in aluminum production, as well as supplying raw and finished aluminum materials, thereby enabling Russian aluminum products to be widely used in the Vietnamese market and gaining deeper access to the ASEAN region.

Listening to proposals from the representatives of the Aluminum Association of Russia, Vice Chairman of VCCI Hoang Quang Phong acknowledged the goodwill and cooperation interests of the members of the Aluminum Association of Russia. He also expressed hope that both sides would have opportunities to boost trade, enhance cooperation, thereby increasing the trade turnover between the two countries, bringing tangible benefits to member enterprises and strengthening the traditional cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Vice Chairman of VCCI also mentioned that VCCI would engage in discussions with associations such as the Vietnam Machinery Association, the Automobile Manufacturers Association, the Vietnam Association of Consumer Goods Development, etc., while also providing information about the Aluminum Association of Russia to VCCI member enterprises to explore cooperation opportunities. This way, Vietnamese enterprises could learn from the advanced techniques and technologies of Russian aluminum companies.

Vice Chairman of VCCI proposed that the Aluminum Association of Russia and the Russian Embassy further enhance exchange activities and provide additional necessary cooperation information so that enterprises of both countries could better understand each other's capabilities and markets. This would lay the foundation for building deeper cooperation in the future and allow Russian enterprises to expand their business operations in Vietnam.
