Through the System of receiving and responding to recommendations of businesses, the Company would like to ask, the sanitizer chemical used in post-harvest processing (washing fruits) under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development or the Ministry of Health? What are the business conditions prescribed in?

Are fungicides used in storage rooms or only during preliminary processing (for spraying on fruit surfaces during washing) governed by Circular 21/2015 / TT-BNNPTNT?

What are the business conditions for wax and coating for preserving agricultural products (against dehydration, respiration and ethylene production)?

Regarding this issue, The Plant Protection Department - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has the following opinion:

Clause 16, Article 3 of Law on Plant Protection and Quarantine 2013provides for: “Plant protection drugs are substances or mixtures of substances or microbial preparations that prevent, repel and lead. For example, killing or controlling plant pests; plant or insect growth regulator; plant preservation; increasing safety and effectiveness when using the drug”.

According to this regulation, chemicals used in plant protection work in the field as well as in the preservation of agricultural products to prevent, repel, lure, destroy or control harmful pests animals (fungal diseases, insects, weeds, nematodes, bacteria, viruses ...) under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Production and trading of plant protection drugs must comply with the provisions of the Law on Plant Protection and Quarantine 2013 and Circular 21/2015 / TT-BNNPTNT dated June 8, 2015 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on plant protection drug management.

Sanitary chemicals used in post-harvest processing (washing flowers and fruits); fungicides in storage rooms; waxes, fruit surface coaters (waxes), glossing the surface of the fruits are not under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
