Nguyen Anh Duc, Chairman of the VCCI Trade Union, spoke at the launch ceremony.
Within VCCI, the Northern Coastal Branch has suffered damages exceeding 2 billion dong, along with emotional distress experienced by the families of VCCI officials, party members, staff, and workers living in areas directly and indirectly affected by Typhoon No. 3.
Under the guidance of the central government and various party committees, local authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and political-social organizations, officials, civil servants, employees, the public, and armed forces in the provinces have been putting in tremendous efforts to address the aftermath of the storm and floods.
VCCI organized a launch ceremony to support those affected by Typhoon No. 3.
In response to the call from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and to promote the traditions of solidarity, mutual support, and the principle of "a helping hand to those in need," and "sharing the wealth," under the guidance of the Party Committee, VCCI Party Committee, and the VCCI Standing Committee, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has called on all units within the VCCI system, including officials, party members, trade union members, and workers, to contribute at least one day's salary to support people in the northern provinces and the Northern Coastal Branch affected by the storm. The goal is to provide the highest, fastest, and most timely support to families affected by Typhoon No. 3 and the floods.
Pham Tan Cong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of VCCI, stated that the Party Committee and VCCI Standing Committee have agreed to further enhance support for disaster relief efforts.
Accordingly, VCCI calls on the entire business community to participate in alleviating the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3, focusing on helping people stabilize their lives and supporting businesses in recovering production and operations.

Simultaneously, VCCI will intensify efforts to guide and encourage businesses to participate in and support the relief efforts through relevant organizations such as the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
The Chairman of VCCI emphasized that all units within the VCCI system, including officials, party members, trade union members, and workers, should work together to assist the people and the business community, fostering the spirit of "mutual support" and providing internal and external aid.
"Each individual should work with a more productive and effective spirit to join in overcoming this 'challenge' to become stronger, more developed, and more resilient," VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said.
The Chairman of VCCI hopes that officials, party members, trade union members, and workers will enthusiastically support and unite to provide the best assistance to businesses and people in various forms, including material and moral support, as well as advising and recommending policies and mechanisms to help businesses quickly recover production. He also encourages businesses in areas not affected by Typhoon No. 3 to extend their support to those suffering from the damage.
