An overview of the forum

Citing President Ho Chi Minh, VCCI Chairman Pham Tan Cong said that good businesspeople must continually learn, train and maintain their business ethics.

Therefore, businesspeople must have solid knowledge, understand the law and have a strong will.

At the forum, the participants discussed President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on building business culture and how to apply such ideology in the current situation.

Most recently in October 2023, the Politburo issued a resolution on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in a new period, with the general goal of developing a strong army of entrepreneurs who have vision, intelligence, ethics and culture.

The resolution outlined seven group of measures, including one on building business ethics and culture and evoking the aspiration to build a prosperous and happy country.

For its part, the VCCI has also implemented many relevant activities, such as announcing six rules of business ethics for Vietnamese entrepreneurs on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth anniversary on May 19, 2022.

The VCCI also worked with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to organise national workshops on business culture and ethics.
