Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play an essential role in job creation, innovation, and balanced income distribution. Particularly in developing economies, SMEs are a key and sustainable driver of poverty reduction and economic growth.
As a pioneer in SME support, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has actively participated in developing policies and legal documents related to SMEs, such as Decree No. 90/2001/NĐ-CP, Decree No. 56/2009/NĐ-CP, and the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises, along with relevant guiding decrees.
The SME Support Center under VCCI closely cooperates with ministries, local authorities, banks, large enterprises, and universities to implement various programs and projects, including:
• SME Support Scheme for Developing Sectoral Clusters in Agricultural Value Chains
• Project “Enhancing SMEs’ Competitiveness for Global Value Chain Integration”
• Project “Strengthening Export Capacity for SMEs in Vietnam’s Spice, Fruit, and Vegetable Sectors (SFV Export)”
• Initiative “Promoting Bilateral Trade and Investment Cooperation between Vietnam and Strategic Partners”
