The forum, organized by the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), in partnership with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), aims to promote gender equality in the private sector through the application of sustainable development tools in enterprises, supporting businesses in enhancing competitiveness, accessing markets, and participating in domestic and international supply chains.

At the forum, 21 Vietnamese enterprises pledged their support for the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), demonstrating their commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace, marketplace, and community. Additionally, the organizers launched the Women's Empowerment Principles Awards 2024 (WEPs Awards 2024), an initiative by UN Women launched in 2020.
