Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice Chairm of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), led the delegation representing Vietnamese employers at the 112th Annual International Labour Conference.

Held from June 3 to June 14, 2018, in Geneva, Switzerland, the 112th Annual International Labour Conference hosted nearly 5,000 delegates, including representatives of governments, workers, and employers from the 187 member countries of the International Labour Organization (ILO). This year, the conference focused on discussing topics related to labor standards, fundamental rights and principles at the workplace, promoting decent employment, and proposing measures to promote social justice and fair transitions. These discussions aimed to lay the foundation for sustainable peace and prosperity as the global economy makes a positive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and faces ongoing crises and conflicts in various parts of the world.

The Vietnamese delegation included representatives from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnamese Mission in Geneva, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
