The VCCI working delegation visits and presents gifts at Truong Sa Island district and DK1 platform

From April 27th to May 5th, 2024, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) organized a delegation to visit and present gifts to officials, soldiers, and people of Truong Sa Island district and the DK1 platform.

The delegation consists of 30 delegates representing VCCI leadership, some agencies, businesses, and business associations. According to the program, the delegation will visit 7 island points and 01 DK1 platform, visit and encourage some forces of the Navy at Cam Ranh, offer incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa.

On April 28th, 2024, the delegation participated in the incense offering program, laid wreaths to commemorate the heroic martyrs, visited and presented gifts to some units of the Navy at Cam Ranh. On the morning of April 29th, 2024, the delegation moved to Cam Ranh military port, starting the sea journey.

This activity becomes even more meaningful as it coincides with the nation's celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7th, 1954 - May 7th, 2024), the 49th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2023), the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of Truong Sa Islands (April 29th, 1975 - April 29th, 2023), and the 61st anniversary of the establishment of VCCI (April 27th, 1963 - April 27th, 2023).

This is one of the activities under the cooperation agreement on sea and islands propaganda between VCCI and the Navy for the period 2023-2030 and the following years. The main contents include: coordination between the Navy and VCCI in exchanging information, operational experience, participating in some activities suitable for each party's functions and tasks; advising, introducing, and facilitating employment opportunities for navy personnel returning to civilian life; coordinating assistance in building enterprises within the Navy to develop the economy linked to defense and security...

According to the agreement, the two parties coordinate well in mobilizing entrepreneurs, businesses, Vietnamese business associations... to assist people, prevent and combat the consequences of natural disasters, storms, floods; gratitude and reciprocity activities; the program "Vietnamese Navy supports fishermen to venture offshore and cling to the sea"; the activity "Navy supports fishermen at sea"; "For Beloved Truong Sa"; "Greening Truong Sa Program"... coordinating the organization of VCCI delegations to visit and encourage naval officers, soldiers, especially units on island routes, DK1 platforms...
