This marks the second time in just over a month that the plant has set a record for daily electricity generation by a coal-fired power plant under the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

The plant achieved numerous milestones in its over two years of commercial operation, including being recognised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the Best New Power Plant 2024 (BNE). At 2:25 am on May 18, 2024, the plant reached a cumulative electricity output of 10 billion kWh.

On October 28, 2024, the plant surpassed its annual target of 5.5579 billion kWh, finishing 64 days ahead of schedule.

In November and December, the plant achieved consecutive daily generation records. On November 13, it produced 27.440 million kWh, setting its first record. On December 2, it broke this record again with 27.488 million kWh, achieving a mobilised capacity of 100.7% and an average internal power consumption rate of 5.21%. This output generated nearly 50 billion VND in daily revenue.

For the remainder of 2024, the plant aims to maintain peak availability to maximise electricity output, targeting a total of 6.9 billion kWh for the year and exceeding 7 billion kWh overall.
