The visit provides an opportunity for SMEs to share more about their practical experience in making investment project documents towards sustainable contributions to the environment and society.

Within the framework of the program " Business planning towards sustainable green growth " held in Da Nang from September 9-10, small and medium enterprises had a visit to businesses which are good cases in making business plans towards green growth.

Trainees visit Luc Dong Rattan Processing Company

Organized jointly by the Forest Landscape Restoration Project and the Dutch Climate and Development Fund under WWF-Vietnam, the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD-VCCI), VCCI Da Nang, the program was attended by representatives of 10 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the central region.

After being guided on the content of medium- and long-term investment projects and sustainable production and business plans, the participants participated in a tour to share experience in project formulation in a favorable direction with two businesses which are Luc Dong Rattan Processing Company and Quang Nam Forestry Development and Investment Joint Stock Company. These are the two enterprises receiving technical support to access loans from the LRF project.

The visit provides an opportunity for SMEs to share more about their practical experience in making investment project documents towards sustainable contributions to the environment and society. This is also an opportunity for SMEs to seek business connection opportunities with two enterprises in the tour program such as supplying input materials, making some processed products, and connecting the market.

SMEs are trained on the necessary contents to make a sustainable business plan

Previously, SMEs participated in training courses on the 9th and 10th September on three topics: Guidelines for setting up investment projects, production and business plans; Basic knowledge of green economy; and introduce the bank's loan products, as well as discuss and evaluate investment ideas prepared by businesses. After the training course, most of the participating SMEs have drafted a medium and long-term 'Investment Project Profile' or an annual 'Production and Business Plan' based on their business reality.

On the basis of the evaluation report and recommendations from the training consultant, WWF-Vietnam will study appropriate ways to continue supporting SMEs in need, completing new investment projects or expanding production and business as practiced in the last training course.
