Spanning 80 ha, Phuc Long Industrial Park, developed and invested by Phuc Long Investment and Construction Co., Ltd., officially commenced construction in 2009. After over 15 years of development, the industrial park has undergone a remarkable transformation, attracting 52 domestic and international investment projects, notably from Japan, the United States, Germany, Belgium, Hong Kong (China) and South Korea, while effectively leasing nearly 100% of its rentable land. The operations of its tenants have significantly boosted key socioeconomic indicators in Ben Luc district and Long An province, including average income, employment and budget revenue.

Mr. Mai Tri Hieu, General Director of Phuc Long Investment and Construction Co., Ltd, said: The success of Phuc Long Industrial Park has come from the great care and support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council and the Provincial People’s Committee; the support and assistance of local authorities; and especially the effective domestic and overseas investment promotion and attraction programs launched by the provincial government. Besides, the industrial park is well-situated as it lies on the core National Highway 1A that offers smooth goods circulation. National Highway 1A connects the industrial park with all key economic centers, thus helping boost commodities consumed by tenants in the industrial park.

Regarding infrastructure, Phuc Long Industrial Park is developed to meet international quality standards, featuring 20-meter-wide internal roads, a drainage system, a wastewater treatment plant, a power grid, communication infrastructure, a robust post and telecommunication network, and fire prevention facilities. These features effectively cater to the needs of businesses and investors while offering a professional environment for experts and workers to live, work, study and relax. The tree-lined sidewalks help to cool the air, enhance the quality of life, and reduce dust and noise.

Designed to develop a green, sustainable industrial park toward an ecological industrial park, Phuc Long pays special attention to environmental management and maintaining internal environmental protection facilities, he said. The installation of an automatic monitoring system helps the company control and manage the environment effectively and ensures compliance with environmental monitoring and reporting regulations. Regarding investment attraction, the industrial park also prioritizes selecting environmentally friendly high-tech projects, creating more jobs and attracting more satellite projects, hence helping increase investment flows and boost local socioeconomic development.

After more than 15 years of development, the effort of the investor and the support from local authorities have contributed to the success of Phuc Long Industrial Park. On June 6, 2024, Decision 482/QD-TTg was issued, approving the investment project for the infrastructure construction and operation of the expanded Phuc Long Industrial Park, covering 329 ha across Long Hiep commune in Ben Luc district, and Long Dinh and Phuoc Van communes in Can Duoc district. The project has a total investment capital of over VND5,600 billion.

Many FDI investors have contacted to lease land for industrial production, but the land fund for lease at Phuc Long Industrial Park has run out, General Director Mai Tri Hieu added. This also shows that investing in the expanded Phuc Long Industrial Park is essential to meet the increasing investment demand, especially the wave of redirected investment flows into Vietnam in the post-COVID-19 period. Besides, the existing infrastructure system to connect the expanded Phuc Long Industrial Park is also very convenient. The project is expected to leverage the socioeconomic development of Long An province and neighboring localities and attract more investment capital for industrial development, particularly high-tech and supporting industries. Moreover, the project will provide jobs and income for local workers, attract skilled workers, increase intellectual content in industrial products and services, and improve the competitiveness of Long An industrial products in domestic and foreign markets.
