VCCI Vice Chairman Hoang Quang Phong was very pleased to see the attention of Hai Duong provincial leaders to local businesses. Mr. Hoang Quang Phong said that the presence of Hai Duong provincial leaders is an affirmation of their commitment to accompany and support businesses. Such support shows that the investment and business cooperation environment in Hai Duong has great potential, a fertile land for businesses.

The Vice Chairman of VCCI also affirmed that he will continue to accompany in cooperation programs, in training, human resource development as well as professional knowledge in production and economic development operations to help businesses rise to the level of enterprises in the position of a bridge and growth pole of the region.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Luong Thu Huong - Chairwoman of Hai Duong Provincial Business Association said that the Provincial Business Association (HHDN) has recently performed well in its role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights of its members, and is a bridge between the business community and the government and functional agencies.

In addition, the Hai Duong Provincial Business Association grasps difficulties and obstacles, collects opinions, proposes and recommends sending a report reviewing difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of investment projects of enterprises in the province to the Department of Planning and Investment, requesting the province to remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises; guiding member enterprises to set up projects and register to participate in the 2024 industrial promotion fund.

At the same time, the Provincial Business Association launched the “Business Coffee” program on the last Saturday of every month, which was well received and actively participated by members. Here, businesses were able to share and introduce their businesses, promote trade, and connect with other businesses to cooperate in investment and product consumption. The program attracted many members to participate and was highly appreciated by businesses.

In the coming time, to support businesses, the Association will also organize many activities to support businesses in improving their competitiveness such as: forums, seminars, opening training courses, training to improve management skills for businesses, thereby helping businesses promptly grasp new mechanisms and policies, proactively take advantage of signed trade agreements to expand the market, and develop increasingly stronger.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Van Quan - Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the Association in 2024, especially the work of developing new members; organizing programs and activities to support businesses to improve their competitiveness, opening training courses to improve management skills for businesses; mobilizing member businesses.

The Vice Chairman of Hai Duong province added that in 2024, the province's economic growth rate reached double digits (up 10.2% compared to 2023), ranking 6th in the country (up 7 places compared to 2023) and 3rd in the Red River Delta. State budget revenue for the first time reached 30,774 billion VND, up over 50% compared to the estimate.

Total export turnover is 10.3 billion USD, up 8.6% compared to 2023; total import turnover is 8.3 billion USD, up 10.4%. Total social development investment capital reaches 64,360 billion VND, up 12.1%. To achieve such positive results, in addition to the spirit of determination and flexibility in direction and administration, efforts to remove difficulties and obstacles in investment, production and business activities of authorities at all levels, it is impossible not to mention the great contributions of the business community in the province.

 Mr. Tran Van Quan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave a speech at the conference.

Vice Chairman of the province Tran Van Quan also suggested that in the coming time, each enterprise and businessman should further promote ethics, business culture, social responsibility, national spirit, build harmonious labor relations, have high responsibility to employees and the community, society, arouse the desire for development, national entrepreneurial spirit, innovation; promote traditional cultural values, the mettle of the Dong people. Build the image of Hai Duong businessmen who are dynamic, creative, rich in Vietnamese identity, respect the law, respect reputation, compete strongly, for sustainable development.

Mr. Quan believes that: In the coming time, the Provincial Business Association will promote the achievements, overcome difficulties and challenges, make worthy contributions to the cause of socio-economic development, and contribute to building the province to be increasingly rich, civilized and modern.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 enterprises and 1 individual member with outstanding achievements in business activities and the association's movement. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) awarded a certificate of merit to Hai Duong Embankment Construction and Rural Development Joint Stock Company. The Provincial Business Association awarded certificates of merit to 6 enterprises and 18 outstanding businessmen.
