The international integration capacity of Vietnamese businessmen has improved markedly. Enterprises have been more active in integration, especially participation in the global value chain.

On the afternoon of September 15, in Hanoi, the Steering Committee summarizing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW had a meeting with representatives of the business community and business team on the implementation of Resolution No. 09-NQ. /TW of the 11th Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese businessmen in the period of accelerating industrialization, modernization and international integration (Resolution 09).

Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Politburo member, Head of the Central Committee's Economic Commission, Head of the Steering Committee Steering Committee on reviewing of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW said that Vietnam assesses that many businesses, Vietnamese entrepreneurs have boldly made breakthroughs in corporate governance, production and business with ambitious projects, reaching out to the international market. In addition, there have appeared a number of economic groups and private enterprises with large scale, financial potential, and modern management and technology, pioneering in a number of important industries and fields such as manufacturing and trading, automobile manufacturing, aviation, information technology, telecommunications, services, real estate, agriculture...

“Enterprises and entrepreneurs have been and are the main force promoting production resources, creating goods and services for society, promoting growth and socio-economic development of the country. The business sector contributes over 60% of GDP and about 30% of the total number of employees. In addition, businessmen also participate more and more effectively in the political life of the country; participate more and more actively in the process of policy formulation, supervision and criticism”, emphasized the Head of the Central Committee's Economic Commission

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) also highly appreciated the direction and orientation in Resolution 09. According to Mr. Cong, Resolution 09 has created consistent and transparent in terms of guidelines, policies, and ecosystems for the business community to operate more and more conveniently, and the business environment is increasingly improved.

“Most Vietnamese entrepreneurs have a sense of genuine business, bravery, creativity, efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges to innovate and develop. However, there are still some limitations, which exist: there is still the situation of illegal businesses and entrepreneurs, lack of social responsibility; The business culture is not homogenous, lacks links... The reasons are many, but among them are the limitations of business ethics", said the VCCI Chairman.

The 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021-2030 has set out the task of strongly developing the private economic sector of the Vietnamese people in both quantity and quality; encourage the formation and development of large private economic groups with strong potential and regional and international competitiveness; striving that by 2030, there will be at least 2 million enterprises with the proportion of the private sector's contribution to GDP reaching 60-65%.

With such a request, the Head of the Central Committee's Economic Commission, Head of the Steering Committee summarizing Resolution 09 Mr. Tran Tuan Anh suggested that Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs not only need to improve their domestic competitiveness but also have to reach regionally and internationally. Enterprises need to promote more proactive, creative and flexible capacity to not only develop their own businesses, but also need to strengthen cooperation and association with each other to create synergy and improve position of Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in regional and global value chains.

At the meeting, business representatives also proposed many tasks and solutions to build and promote the role of the entrepreneurial team until 2030, with a vision to 2045. recommending to promote the role of foreign investment enterprises (FDI) in the formation and development of supply chains; create conditions on mechanisms and policies for the business community to develop; build more trade promotion centers; Focus on training human resources…
