On September 9, Zeekr signed a distribution agreement with Tasco Auto, a vehicle distributor in Vietnam

Zeekr is positioned as a premium brand with a vision to become the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer. The Chinese EV maker has established a presence in over 30 markets, covering countries in Europe (such as Sweden and the Netherlands), as well as in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

Since its launch in 2021, Zeekr has delivered over 310,000 vehicles globally within 33 months, a record for pure electric vehicle manufacturers. Global sales of Zeekr in the first half of 2024 reached 206 per cent compared to the same period last year, with nearly 55,000 vehicles sold in the second quarter of 2024 alone.

To become a comprehensive mobility solutions provider, Zeekr operates four research and development (R&D) centres globally. The company’s core technology includes the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform – a flexible and sustainable architecture designed to support a wide range of EVs, from small to large models, including autonomous vehicles.

It is the latest Chinese EV to enter the Vietnamese market. Other Chinese EV automakers like BYD and Lynk & Co entered Vietnam last year. Three others, Omoda, Jaecoo and Aion, are expected to launch in the fourth quarter.
