The 200 firms generated more than 36.5 trillion VND in revenue and contributed over 19 trillion VND to the state budget this year. They created jobs for 106,000 people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Standing Deputy Prime Minister, emphasised that the Party and the State always attach importance to and appreciate the role of enterprises, considering them an important driving force for the development and economic growth of the country.
In the new era of the nation, the business community, especially young businesspeople, has demonstrated a proactive and creative spirit, constantly striving to adapt to market changes, seizing opportunities, overcoming challenges, and affirming their position domestically and internationally, he noted.
The standing deputy PM also reminded businesses and entrepreneurs to continue to grasp the world situation, thereby proactively adapting, promoting new trends and new technologies, and bringing sustainable values.
The Gold Star Award honours the enterprises that have achieved good business performance and sustainable development and undertaken good social responsibility.
It is organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee, and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.
