Alibaba.Com, Vietnamese Businesses Join Together to Reach Out Globally

Alibaba.com, one of the leading platforms for global business-to-business (B2B) commerce, was present at the International Food and Beverage Expo - Processing equipment technology, packaging Food and Beverage – Viet food & Beverage – Propack HCM City, organized from 11-13 August 2022. This is the most influential International Food Industry Exhibition in Vietnam, held twice a year, in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

With the theme BRING VIETNAM TASTE TO THE WORLD, Alibaba.com Vietnam cooperated with OSB Company - Alibaba.com's 13-year official authorized channel partner in Vietnam to organize a series of activities to support Vietnamese businesses to access digital transformation solutions exclusively designed for Vietnamese sellers from Alibaba.com.

Alibaba.com APP home page has Vietnam Food & Beverage Expo banner exposed, helping to bring more traffic and business opportunities to Vietnamese customers.

Consultants from Alibaba.com joined the chat and consulted directly with businesses to share online commerce solutions. In addition, during the consultation session, businesses had the opportunity to receive exclusive offers when joining the Alibaba.com membership package.

Mr. Huynh Thai Hoa - Director of Southern E-commerce Center, OSB Company, the official authorized channel partner of Alibaba.com said: "OSB Company is committed to accompanying the program throughout 2021-2022 in supporting the program. consulting, training the knowledge and skills on e-commerce for businesses before and during the process of businesses operating on the e-commerce platform Alibaba.com”

Within the framework of the exhibition, Alibaba.com organized a series of events sharing on the topic of e-commerce solutions. With the participation of successful GGSs on Alibaba.com, participating businesses had the opportunity to directly interact, learn and discuss the advantages of applying digital trading to their business.

Ms. Tran Thi Yen Phi - Founder & CEO of DSW Co., Ltd shared: “I joined Alibaba.com with only 1 account and now I have succeeded. The first order was worth $3,000. After 1 year, the sales reached $260,000. I learned practical lessons from Chinese sellers through Alibaba.com such as multimedia payment methods or ways to live stream.”

Ms. Le Tu Uyen - Founder & CEO of Natural Love Co., Ltd. also shared in the workshop: “In 2021, when the epidemic ravaged, our strategy to expand our business by working on e-commerce with Alibaba.com was correct and timely when orders were still coming regularly from more than 10 countries such as USA, Spain, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, India. Alibaba.com believes that the strengths of Vietnamese sellers are large production capacity, diversified product portfolio, competitive prices, and an increased focus on export. Some sectors of Vietnam have experienced impressive growth, the most prominent of which is the food and beverage industry.

According to a report by the Statistics Office, in June, Vietnam's total import and export turnover was estimated at US$65.02 billion, up 2.3% over the previous month and up 18.1% over the same period last year. Generally, in the first 6 months of 2022, the total import and export turnover of goods reached US$371.17 billion, up 16.4% over the same period last year, of which exports increased by 17.3%; imports increased by 15.5%. The trade balance of goods in the first 6 months of the year was estimated to have a trade surplus of US$710 million. In 2022, Alibaba.com will continue to work closely with local authorities, providing online services and solutions. appropriate and effective line.
