VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City leaders will offer the best possible conditions for the Italian Consulate General to carry out cooperative activities as a contribution to deepening the Vietnam-Italy strategic partnership.

Le Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee made the statement at a ceremony to mark the 73rd anniversary of Italy’s Republic Day (June 2) hosted by the Consulate General in HCM City on June 3.

In his address, he hailed the flourishing bilateral strategic partnership, as demonstrated through high-level visits by the two countries’ leaders. 

HCM City is always the leading locality nationwide in cooperative activities with Italy, especially in trade, investment, culture and arts, he said, noting that the sound relationship between the two nations over the pat time is seen as a foundation for the ties between HCM City and Italy, and for friendship and prosperity. 

Dante Brandi, Italy’s Consul General, highlighted the Consulate General’s efforts to implement cooperative programmes with HCM City in investment, trade, culture and arts.

He said his nation pledged to step up cooperation with Vietnamese localities, towards preserving and promoting values of culture, architecture, green transport and tourism, and developing relations between small-and medium-sized enterprises so as to keep abreast with trends of the Vietnamese and Italian economies.
