I worked at VCCI for 37 years, from 1966 until my retirement in 2003. It is already 20 years since my retirement, but my predestined relationship with the Vietnamese business community has given me many chances to come back to VCCI. More than half a century with VCCI has left a deep impression on me, and perhaps these things have kept me close to VCCI for so long.

Whenever Spring comes, we gather together to celebrate the birthday of VCCI, a social, political and professional representative of the business community and Vietnamese entrepreneurs. 2023 is really a special year for all VCCI staff to celebrate the organization’s 60th anniversary, and the country has enjoyed half a century of peace. Personally, these days remind me of a memorable time when I was in charge of promoting business cooperation within ASEAN.

President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Pham Tan Cong recently hosted a working meeting with Mr. Ramachandran A.S (RamC), Country Officer for Citibank in Vietnam. At the meeting, the two sides said that they will cooperate to connect and support foreign businesses to invest in Vietnam in the coming time.
