Long An has competitive advantages for rapid and sustainable development, making it a reliable and attractive destination for domestic and international investors, particularly in sectors like services and tourism. This creates momentum and a ripple effect for the development of the Mekong Delta region and the country as a whole.
According to statistics from the Long An Provincial People's Committee, as of the first quarter of 2024, Long An has established over 500 new enterprises with total registered capital exceeding 6.9 trillion VND. Currently, the province has more than 17,400 registered businesses with a total capital of over 379 trillion VND, including over 2,200 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with registered capital exceeding 300 trillion VND.
With a policy focused on in-depth and quality member development, the LBA Executive Board consists of 66 members, operating with the mission of ensuring sustainable development for the business community and entrepreneurs in Long An. After five years since the third congress, the Association has grown to over 300 members, including official members, affiliate members, and member associations, actively operating in various industries throughout the province.
In his address at the congress, Mr. Vo Tan Thanh congratulated and commended the remarkable efforts of the LBA during the past term. The business community in Long An has continually demonstrated resilience, dynamism, and creativity, contributing to the comprehensive development of the province and making positive contributions to the national economy.
Especially during the 2020-2022 period, when the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic and unprecedented challenges, under the steadfast leadership of the Long An Business Association and with a spirit of unity and cooperation, businesses not only endeavored to maintain production and operations during the most difficult times but also innovated and adapted flexibly to market changes, continuing to grow amid challenges.
The Vice Chairman of VCCI emphasized that the Association has effectively served as a bridge, supporting businesses in collaboration and partnership, as well as promptly relaying the difficulties and obstacles faced by the business community to central and local management agencies, contributing to the creation of a favorable business environment and enhancing the competitive capacity of enterprises in Long An.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Vo Tan Thanh expressed his confidence in the Executive Board for the term 2024 - 2029 and called for the promotion of solidarity, creativity, and sustainable development. He also hoped that the LBA would continue to receive attention, support, and encouragement from provincial leaders and local agencies to motivate businesses to remain engaged, contribute, and wholeheartedly promote the strengthening of the Association.
Mr. Vo Tan Thanh affirmed, “VCCI will continue to accompany, listen to, and gather feedback from the Association as well as the business community in the province, implementing recommendations and policy suggestions to help improve the business environment and enhance the competitive capacity of enterprises in Long An. In the coming time, VCCI will strengthen regional collaboration and business association connectivity, playing its role as a representative agency and a bridge between the business community and local authorities, with associations serving as the ‘extended arm’ of VCCI in implementing business support activities.”
VCCI commits to always accompany the Long An Province Business Association as well as other business associations, to create the most favorable conditions for businesses to develop and contribute appropriately to the development and prosperity of the country.
