Wistron’s board approved the investment at a meeting last Wednesday, with the funds earmarked for facility upgrades and equipment acquisitions at Wistron InfoComm (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. (WVN).
The latest investment extends a series of capital commitments by Wistron in Vietnam this year as the company expands its manufacturing footprint in networking and server equipment.
In May, Wistron’s board approved an extra $19 million investment in WVN to expand production capacity for network switches.
The group approved a further $24.5 million in June for its Vietnam operations, mainly for construction and renovation work and the purchase of machinery and equipment.
In August, Wistron approved another $40 million investment in Wistron Property (Vietnam), a separate wholly owned subsidiary.
The latest approvals follow a larger investment package announced in December 2025, when Wistron approved up to $134.8 million for WVN. The funds were earmarked for a new facility and equipment purchases, primarily to support the company’s networking equipment business.
Established in 2020, Wistron InfoComm (Vietnam) is headquartered at Dong Van III Supporting Industrial Park in Tien Son ward, Ninh Binh province, where it manufactures information and communications technology (ICT) products.
The continued capital injections highlight Wistron’s efforts to expand its Vietnam manufacturing base as demand for networking and server equipment grows, particularly alongside investment in data centers and AI infrastructure.
