THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi Textile & Garment Industry and Fabric Garment Accessories Expos 2025 (HanoiTex & HanoiFabric 2025) opened in Hanoi on December 16, bringing together more than 250 exhibitors from nine countries and territories to showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions for the textile and garment industry.

The three-day event, running through December 18 at the I.C.E International Exhibition Center, is regarded as one of the largest and most influential textile trade fairs in northern Vietnam, drawing strong participation from India, South Korea, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, China, Taiwan (China) and Vietnam.

Vu Duc Giang, Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), said the expo highlights advanced technologies, smart manufacturing solutions, modern equipment and high-quality materials aligned with sustainable development goals.

“Highlights include water- and chemical-saving dyeing machines, high-speed digital printers for small orders, energy-efficient finishing lines cutting power use by 25%–35% and waste-heat recovery solutions for factories,” Giang told The Hanoi Times.

For visitors, the expo offers hands-on access to technologies, machinery and materials from major industrialized countries, along with updates on key trends such as digital transformation and automation.

For exhibitors, it provides direct entry to Vietnam’s fast-growing textile and garment market, creating opportunities to reach thousands of potential buyers and build strategic partnerships across Asia.

The expo is divided into two main segments. HanoiTex focuses on textile and garment machinery and industrial equipment, while HanoiFabric highlights fabrics and accessories for apparel, textiles and embroidery. Both will present new technologies, smart manufacturing solutions and premium materials to meet rising market standards.

Quach Quang Dong, Deputy Director of the Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said at the opening ceremony that the event offers a practical opportunity for enterprises to access advanced, environmentally friendly technologies, strengthen partnerships, expand markets and meet stricter rules of origin under new-generation free trade agreements.

"In 2025, Vietnam's textile and garment export turnover is projected to reach US$46 billion, an increase of over 5% compared to 2024, maintaining its position as one of the world's top three, demonstrating self-reliance in domestic raw material and accessory supply," said Dong.

Against this backdrop, HanoiTex & HanoiFabric 2025 is expected to contribute to the sustainable development and deeper international integration of Vietnam’s textile and garment industry, he added.

Le Thi Thu Trang, a staff member of Sunviet Technology, said that her company currently focuses on producing and supplying a wide range of products, including thermal printers, RFID printers and specialized printing materials, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of the modern textile and garment industry.

"As a key annual event in Vietnam’s textile industry, the exhibition serves as a hub for manufacturers, distributors, equipment and material suppliers, and industry experts both domestically and internationally. It helps enhance our production capacity and promote integration into the global supply chain," Trang talked to The Hanoi Times.

Organizers expect the expo to attract more than 10,000 trade visitors, including manufacturers, import-export firms, designers, market experts and equipment distributors, reinforcing its position as a specialized trade and networking platform for the textile and garment industry.

Beyond product displays, the event introduces integrated solutions to guide investment strategies, raise added value and boost competitiveness, while helping enterprises track trends in green production, digitalization and automation and expand supplier and partner networks.
