According to a business registration update issued late last month, Fukang Technology increased its registered capital from VND8.35 trillion to nearly VND17.47 trillion, or $710.4 million, up over 109%, according to its business registration records.

The company’s new capital base is classified as foreign capital, with contributions made in freely convertible foreign currencies, the registration update shows.

Established on January 20, 2021, Fukang Technology is based at Lot I in Quang Chau Industrial Park, Nen ward, Bac Ninh city, northern Vietnam. Yao Chang-Hao serves as the company’s legal representative, chairman of its members’ council, and general director.

The registration update also revised the amounts of capital represented by three authorized individuals. Yao represents nearly VND13.97 trillion, equivalent to 80% of the registered capital, while Huang Yu-Ching and Huang Shih-I each represent approximately VND1.75 trillion, or 10%.

Fukang Technology is wholly owned by Foxconn Singapore Pte. Ltd., placing it within the corporate structure of Hon Hai Precision Industry, the Taiwanese group’s legal name. Hon Hai confirmed the ownership relationship in a disclosure dated August 18, 2026. Fukang Technology manufactures electronic products including tablets, laptops, smart speakers, and motherboards.

According to the disclosure, Foxconn Singapore invested a total of $358.4 million in additional capital in Fukang Technology between October 14, 2025 and August 18, 2026. Following the transaction, Foxconn Singapore’s cumulative investment in the subsidiary reached $710.4 million, while its ownership remained at 100%.

Hon Hai said the transaction was intended as a long-term investment through a capital increase at its subsidiary.

According to the provincial statistics office, in the first nine months of 2026, Bac Ninh city recorded 264 newly registered foreign-invested projects totalling $1.67 billion and 219 foreign-invested projects having their capital expanded totalling $2.3 billion.
