Accordingly, on the morning of March 26, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) held a ceremony to present official membership certificates to 48 enterprises; including 14 joint stock companies and 34 limited liability companies.

Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành affirmed that VCCI will strengthen activities to support member enterprises as well as the business community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành assessed that the world is entering a period of profound changes, with many unpredictable fluctuations caused by geopolitical conflicts and fierce wars such as the conflict in the Middle East involving the US – Israel – Iran, and the Russia – Ukraine conflict, posing many risks. Supply chains have been seriously affected and even disrupted. In particular, energy security is being severely impacted, affecting many countries around the world, including Vietnam.
According to Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành, from being a poor country with an economy ranked among the 10 smallest in the world, Vietnam has now reached the 32nd largest economy globally. Trade has also achieved remarkable results. In terms of import and export, Vietnam has entered the Top 20 countries with the largest trade turnover in the world, with total turnover reaching USD 930 billion in 2025.

Although significant achievements have been made, Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành also noted that Vietnam is facing major challenges amid rapid and unpredictable global changes. Rising USD and gold prices, along with the risk of increasing inflation, are having substantial impacts on the business community as well as the overall economy.
In this context, Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành stated that VCCI has identified its objectives and activities to support the business community. One of the key tasks, both previously and in the time ahead, is for VCCI to continue participating more actively and deeply in policy advisory, policy formulation, and institutional reform to create a truly transparent and favorable business environment for enterprises. He emphasized that this is a central and top priority task of VCCI.

In addition, VCCI will strengthen activities to connect enterprises with other enterprises, enterprises with the State, enterprises with markets, enterprises with investors, and enterprises with scientists.
“In recent years, VCCI has effectively carried out these activities. In the coming time, we will further enhance efforts to connect Vietnamese enterprises with foreign enterprises, helping them address issues related to markets and product output,” Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành emphasized.
VCCI will also intensify training activities to improve governance capacity for member enterprises as well as the broader business community. At the same time, VCCI will promote support activities for enterprises in digital transformation, green growth, and sustainable development. These are areas of great concern for Vietnamese enterprises today; moreover, international market requirements are increasingly stringent, requiring enterprises to comply, otherwise their exports will face many obstacles. In addition, VCCI’s service activities will help enterprises boost exports to international markets.

Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành also informed that in 2026, VCCI will continue to consolidate its organizational structure in preparation for the 8th VCCI Congress. After the Congress, there will be many innovations in VCCI’s activities to support enterprises.
He also expressed hope that after becoming VCCI members, enterprises will strengthen their ties with VCCI, enhance their operational methods, adopt new technologies, and improve management capacity to meet increasingly demanding market requirements.
“We also hope that members will build closer ties with VCCI and consider VCCI as a common home, so that when encountering difficulties or obstacles in production and business activities that require VCCI’s support - such as market connections, business networking, participation in training programs to improve capacity, or challenges related to institutions and legal regulations - enterprises can report them to VCCI. VCCI will then submit these issues to State management agencies in order to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises,” Vice President of VCCI Võ Tân Thành emphasized.
