“Moreover, from a business perspective, traceability helps companies tightly control various stages in the production process and related supply chains, contributing to quality management of products from production to consumer delivery. Additionally, traceability is a way to demonstrate transparency and a company’s commitment to the quality and origin of its products. This helps build trust with business partners and consumers, thereby promoting trade relationships and creating a competitive advantage in the international market,” Ms. Ngoc shared.
At the training session, Mr. Pham Van Tho – Chairman of the Board and General Director of Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Joint Stock Company affirmed that traceability is one of the breakthrough steps and an inevitable trend in the market. As the demand for transparency in product origin and quality grows and becomes a mandatory criterion in the production and circulation of goods, it aims to protect consumer rights and integrate into the global economy.

“Traceability will also help businesses and consumers better understand government regulations on product origin traceability, providing consumers with tools to check the source and origin of goods before making a purchase. Currently, Truedata is an optimal solution as it uses RFID chip tags that meet the current government requirements for product traceability,” Mr. Tho said.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc – Deputy Head of the Legal Arbitration Department (VCCI Ho Chi Minh City) mentioned that traceability is necessary for businesses to obtain Certificates of Origin (C/O). The Certificate of Origin (C/O) is a condition to receive tariff preferences that markets have committed to each other.
“When traceability is well managed, obtaining a C/O becomes easier. During the C/O issuance process, traceability is a routine aspect of checking businesses, especially for electronic goods and hot items,” Mr. Duc said.
