Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Hoàng Quang Phòng, Vice President of VCCI, emphasized that compliance with the law, especially tax obligations, is not only a responsibility but also a core expression of business culture. Developing habits of transparent business practices and fully fulfilling obligations to the State will contribute to enhancing the credibility of each business entity and building a fair and healthy business environment.

According to VCCI, the workshop goes beyond policy dissemination, opening up a practical coordination mechanism between tax authorities and organizations representing the business community. In this context, raising awareness, providing technical support, and mobilizing social resources are considered key solutions to foster a culture of compliance starting from the household business sector, which is regarded as the “seed” of future enterprises.

At the workshop, Ms. Nguyễn Thu Trà, Head of the Compliance Management and Taxpayer Support Division of the Tax Department, stated that the tax sector is accelerating administrative reform and modernizing management toward digitalization, transparency, and a taxpayer-centered approach. For household businesses, the consistent viewpoint is that management must go hand in hand with support, with guidance preceding inspection.
Proper and complete tax declaration and payment are not only legal obligations but also initial steps for household businesses to build credibility and establish trust with customers and partners. Data on revenue, costs, invoices, and documents must be recorded truthfully, accurately, and on time.
A key focus highlighted is the promotion of digital technology application in tax administration. Platforms such as electronic tax declaration, electronic tax payment, and e-invoices are being implemented synchronously, helping household businesses save time, reduce errors, and enhance transparency.
According to the Tax Department representative, tax compliance should become a voluntary habit in daily business operations. This is not only a management requirement but also a responsibility to society and to the sustainable development of each household business.
In the coming time, the Tax Department will continue to coordinate with VCCI and relevant units to strengthen policy communication, expand both direct and online support channels, promptly address difficulties, and accompany household businesses in fulfilling their tax obligations.
