At the meeting between Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Nguyen Quang Vinh and Mr. Zhang Hongbin, Vice President of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, China, the two sides highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the business community in high-value sectors.
Currently, Guangdong province is one of the largest consumer markets for Vietnamese agricultural products in China, especially with products such as rice, coffee, tea, pepper, chili, dragon fruit and processed food items. In 2024, Vietnam's agricultural exports to China will reach tens of billions of USD, of which Guangdong accounts for a large proportion, contributing to enhancing the value and position of Vietnamese agricultural products in the Chinese market.
Mr. Zhang Hongbin said that Guangdong always attaches importance to economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the context of the two countries maintaining positive economic and trade relations. He said that with a population of more than 126 million people and being one of the largest agricultural consumption markets of Vietnam in China, Guangdong enterprises have a great need to expand supply chains, seek markets and cooperate in technology in Southeast Asia, in which Vietnam is a leading important partner. Expressing his impression of the rapid development of the Vietnamese economy as well as the potential and advantages in attracting foreign investment, Mr. Zhang Hongbin expressed his hope that businesses from both sides will explore opportunities and effectively exploit complementary strengths, especially in industries such as electronic components, high-tech products, food processing, and renewable energy...
He also said that Guangdong is ready to welcome Vietnamese business delegations to survey the market, seek business opportunities and establish cooperative relationships
Currently, many Guangdong businesses, especially in industrial centers such as Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, have increased their participation in fairs and investment promotion forums in Vietnam.

In particular, with a solid foundation in the Greater Bay Area, possessing a large development network and resources from the government and enterprises, this will be an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to invest and do business, promoting cross-border industrial cooperation and investment.
Mr. Zhang shared that with a favorable geographical location, stable political environment, increasingly developed transport infrastructure and constantly improving business environment, Vietnam is becoming an important investment destination for enterprises from Guangdong in particular and the Greater Bay Area in general.
According to VCCI Vice Chairman Nguyen Quang Vinh, in the context of Vietnam promoting the transformation of its growth model, moving towards a digital economy, a green economy and enhancing its position in the global supply chain, cooperation with Guangdong, one of China's leading dynamic and innovative localities, is very appropriate.
According to the VCCI Vice Chairman, the Vietnamese business community is currently looking for opportunities to expand cooperation in areas such as high-tech manufacturing, smart logistics, digital economy, green transformation and innovation.
These are also areas where Guangdong enterprises have many strengths, experience and resources. "Connecting businesses of both sides not only opens up opportunities for trade and investment but also contributes to promoting deeper economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries," the VCCI Vice Chairman emphasized.
With the potential for cooperation between the two sides' business communities constantly expanding, in the coming time, the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Guangdong is expected to continue to develop strongly, contributing positively to the goal of increasing Vietnam-China trade turnover to 200 billion USD by 2025.
