His father got a heart attack, after being treated at the district hospital, he was introduced to the provincial hospital level then, the provincial hospital level  introduced him to Bach Mai Hospital.

Doctors at Bach Mai Hospital indicated that Mr. Ly's father had to put stents NOTRIX™ in arterial. Mr. Ly would like to ask, how does his father get health insurance benefits?

Regarding this issue, the Vietnam Social Security responded as follows:

As a rule, the benefit code 2 is 100% paid by the health insurance fund according to regulations (there is a limit on the rate of payment of some drugs, chemicals, medical supplies and technical services according to regulations of the Minister of Health).

The health insurance fund pays for the cost of arterial stenting services including: Technical services "Coronary stenosis and stenting" cost: VND 6,696,000 / use; Medical supplies (including specialized supplies used for intervention: stents NOTRIX™, circuit materials, microtubules, micro-wires, metal coils, deformities, appliances thrombosis tool ...).

The level of payment for the total cost of medical supplies for one time of using technical services shall not exceed 45 months' of basic salary (currently 45 x 1.3 million = VND 58,500,000);

Other expenses such as tests, drugs, treatment days and beds ... within the scope of patients' benefits are paid by the health insurance fund based on the number of appointments to use and the price prescribed by law.

Thus, if his father carries out the referral according to regulations, he will be fully entitled to health insurance benefits when treating at Bach Mai Hospital.
