The customs sector continued to develop and complete many institutional reforms and administrative procedures in the first 10 months of 2021.

Customs authorities have closely worked with relevant bodies to fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeiting, and arrested 11,961 cases with an estimated value of nearly VND2,000 billion. They collected VND170 billion for the State Budget, prosecuted 25 cases and transferred 102 to other competent bodies for further settlement. Especially, the customs sector took back and handled overdue tax of VND535.4 billion.
