Mariko Suga, the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, took part in a tour of the historic Temple of Literature in Hanoi on October 19 as part of her ongoing visit to Vietnam. 

Following the welcome ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in the capital, the Japanese PM’s wife Mariko Suga goes on a visit to the Temple of Literature alongside Tran Thi Nguyet Thu, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s wife.

Mrs Mariko Suga is given an insight into the famed history of the nation’s first university.

The Japanese PM’s wife joins PM Phuc’s wife as the pair take a photo in front of the Khue Van Cac, also known as the Pavilion of Constellation of Literature.

Mrs Mariko Suga signs the guestbook of the Temple of Literature.

Mrs Tran Thi Nguyet Thu also writes in the guestbook at the Temple of Literature.

Later on the same day the Japanese PM’s wife visits Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
