VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has affirmed Vietnam’s willingness to share its experience with Ivory Coast across a wide range of fields, particularly the building of development strategies, e-government, digital economy and hi-tech agriculture.

At a reception in Hanoi on May 31 for Minister and Secretary General of the presidency Patrick Achi and a high-ranking delegation of Ivory Coast, Deputy PM Dam hailed the traditional partnership between the two countries, as well as support and sentiments of people of the African country towards Vietnam.
Since Vietnam and Ivory Coast established diplomatic ties in 1975, they have joined hands in various multilateral forums. Ivory Coast is currently Vietnam’s second largest trade partner in Africa with last year’s two-way trade touching roughly US$1 billion.
Dam suggested both nations define fields of shared concern, such as human resources, digital economy and economic structure transition.
He underscored the establishment of cooperation mechanisms at governmental and ministry levels to augment bilateral cooperation and friendship for mutual benefit.
In reply, Achi said during the visit, his delegation had working sessions with leaders of the Government Office, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to discuss the implementation e-government and digital economy and agricultural development.
Achi also voiced his hope to learn experience from Vietnam’s education development.
The delegation also made fact-finding tours of northern Quang Ninh province, along with Can Tho city and Ho Chi Minh City, he told his host.
