The Government has approved a national plan to accelerate digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the 2026–2030 period.
The initiative aims to enhance SMEs’ readiness and capacity for digital transformation through targeted support packages tailored to their size, needs and industry characteristics. The plan seeks to promote practical and comprehensive digital adoption, improve productivity and operational efficiency, and strengthen firms’ ability to adapt to market fluctuations while integrating more deeply into regional and global value chains.
Under the plan, at least 500,000 SMEs are expected to receive support by 2030 through activities such as digital readiness assessments, pilot projects, technology application, consultancy services and training programs.
Of these, at least 300,000 enterprises will be supported in adopting digital technologies, digital platforms and artificial intelligence solutions.
The program also aims to develop a group of 200 exemplary SMEs that lead digital transformation in key sectors, including science and technology, manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, trade, logistics, finance, education and tourism.
To support businesses, a nationwide network of digital transformation consultants will be established, with at least 500 organizations and individuals participating.
The plan outlines three main tasks: improving policies and legal frameworks supporting SMEs’ digital adoption; developing infrastructure such as broadband networks and 5G in industrial zones and high-tech areas; and expanding financial, technical and training support to help SMEs adopt digital technologies and participate in a broader digital ecosystem.
