The Ministry of Health confirmed 527 COVID-19 cases this evening, raising the national patient tally to 21,035.

The latest patients include 12 Vietnamese repatriated from Indonesia on June 20 and one Kazakh expert who landed in Viet Nam on July 3.

All the others are domestic infections recorded in Ho Chi Minh City (270), Binh Duong (114), Dong Thap (62), Tien Giang (11), Phu Yen (11), Khanh Hoa (10), Dong Nai (8), An Giang (6), Binh Phuoc (4), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (4), Binh Dinh (3), Tay Ninh (3), Bac Giang (3), Quang Ngai (2), Bac Ninh (1), Nghe An (1), and Lam Dong (1). Of these 482 were detected in quarantine sites or lockdown areas.

These new cases bring the total patients confirmed on Monday to 1,102, another single-day record of infections.

The ministry also announced 203 patients were discharged from hospitals on the same day, taking the total number of recoveries to 8,022.

The death toll increased to 90./.
