The Ministry of Health confirmed 609 new infection cases this evening, raising the COVID-19 count on Monday to 2,367.

The latest patients include six Vietnamese repatriated from Indonesia on July 8.

All the others are domestic cases in Ho Chi Minh City (341), Binh Duong (128), Khanh Hoa (31), Tien Giang (26), Phu Yen (17), Da Nang (14), Tra Vinh (8), Hau Giang (8 ), Quang Ngai (7), Soc Trang (4), Bac Ninh (4), An Giang (3), Ha Noi (3), Thanh Hoa (2), Dong Thap (2), Nam Dinh (2), Binh Phuoc (2), and Dak Nong (1). Of these, 520 cases were detected in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.

These cases bring the national patient tally to 32,199, including 9,331 recoveries and 123 fatalities, said the ministry.

The Southeast Asian country has conducted 4,036,561 tests for 10,031,048 turns of people since April 27 when the fourth COVID-19 wave began.

The nation has also administered 4,051,585 vaccine doses, the ministry added./.
