The Ministry of Health confirmed 3,352 new infection cases this evening, raising the COVID-19 tally on Wednesday to 7,623.

The latest patients comprise one imported cases and 3,351 local infections Binh Duong (1,111), HCMC (935), Long An (281), Dong Nai (225), Khanh Hoa (150), Dong Thap (142), Can Tho (113), Binh Thuan (84), Soc Trang (49), Phu Yen (33); Ninh Thuan (29), Ben Tre (24), Ha Noi (24), Thua Thien-Hue (19), Thanh Hoa (17), Quang Ngai (15), Dak Lak (15), Ha Tinh (14), Hau Giang (10), Quang Nam (10), Gia Lai (10), Nghe An (6), Binh Phuoc (6), Quang Binh (5), Hai Duong (4), Hung Yen (3), Quang Tri (3), Kon Tum (2), Son La (2), Lao Cai (2), Bac Ninh (2), Dak Nong (1), Yen Bai (1), Vinh Phuc (1), Nam Dinh (1), Ha Giang (1), Bac Lieu (1).

Of the domestic infections, 821 cases were detected in the community.

These cases bring the national caseload to 177,813, including 173,914 community infection cases since April 27, 2021.

The same day, the ministry reported 3,501 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 54,332.

Among the current patients, 470 have been admitted to the intensive care units, of whom 21 patients are in critical conditions.

The ministry also announced further 256 fatalities, sending the death toll to 2,327./.
