Hoi An city ranked 13th out of Top 15 best cities in Asia in the World's Best Awards survey of Travel+Leisure.

The city scored 86.98 points in the survey which was open for voting from January 11 through May 10, 2021, as destinations around the world were lifting COVID-19 restrictions.

The ancient city has been honored by Travel Leisure many times in its list of world Top cities in 2019, Top 10 best cities in Asia in 2018, and 50 best cities to visit in 2019.

Hoi An represents a heaven for photography and cuisine lovers. In 1999, the city was recognized by the UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.

This year, Udaipur city of India tops the list, followed by Ubud (Indonesia), Kyoto (Japan), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Bangkok, Taipei, Luang Prabang (Laos), Jaipur (India), Tokyo, Seoul, Osaka (Japan), Thimphu (Bhutan), Hoi An, Singapore, and Mumbai

Earlier, in this January,  ancient town Hoi An ranked 11th on the global list of 25 most popular travel destinations, according to 2021 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards.

In June, Hoi An was placed in the eighth position in the list of the most wallet-friendly destinations for travelers in 2021, according to the Holiday Money Report 2021 conducted by UK Post Office./.
