The May Legend is one of the pre-eminent Grade A office developments in Haiphong, which will support the port city to deliver high-end, flexible, and sustainable office spaces on par with international standards.

A beacon of economic opportunity with significant commercial potential

As one of Vietnam's five centrally governed cities, Haiphong is highly regarded for its infrastructure, foreign direct investment (FDI), GDP, and growing economy.

In 2023, the port city attracted $3.5 billion in FDI, a 140 per cent increase on-year, making it the second biggest foreign investor draw in the country, with 950 foreign-invested projects in industrial and economic zones from notable investors including LG, Bridgestone, Regina Miracle, and Pegatron.

According to Savills Vietnam's H1/2023 Haiphong Real Estate Market Report, office stock of 173,000sq.m net leasable area (NLA) came from Grade B and C projects.

Office stock grew by 2 per cent per year from 2019 to H1 of 2023. Office occupancy reached 91 per cent, with rent hitting nearly $10/sq.m/month.

Trinh Huynh Mai, associate director of Commercial Leasing at Savills Hanoi, said that Haiphong's emergence as a leading destination nationwide in FDI attraction is a very positive precursor for the growth potential of the city's commercial real estate.

“Demand for Grade A offices comes from companies in finance and manufacturing. We are also seeing demand from domestic and international retail brands looking to expand into shopping centres run by reputable foreign operators,” said Mai.
