The proposal was presented at a meeting between Dak Lak provincial leaders and TH Group executives in Hanoi on Monday, as the company expands its investment in agriculture, forestry, and tourism.
The proposed coastal tourism project would cover 960 hectares in the eastern part of Dak Lak. TH Group said it would target international six-star standards and comply with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements.
The project would keep construction density below 12%, with more than 88% of the site reserved for natural ecosystems, according to the company's preliminary plan. The complex is also designed to operate entirely on clean energy and pursue a net-zero carbon model.
The development would be divided into two main areas: a 300-hectare coastal zone and a 660-hectare hillside zone.
A key feature would be a wellness and healing facility designed around distinctive brick-kiln architecture. The project is also expected to create jobs and raise incomes for local workers, TH said.
The company requested the provincial authorities’ support in land-related procedures and investment incentives to facilitate the project's development.
Dak Lak provincial Party chief Luong Nguyen Minh Triet welcomed TH Group's proposal, saying the province had broad development potential spanning both the Central Highlands and coastal areas.
Agriculture, forestry and tourism are among the province's key economic sectors, he noted.
Triet called on TH Group to work closely with relevant agencies to conduct site surveys and refine its investment plan, while pledging to facilitate legal and land procedures for the investor to conduct field surveys.
At the meeting, TH Group also reported on the development of its Ea Sup-Ea Rok high-tech circular agro-forestry complex, which covers about 20,000 hectares and has an estimated investment capital of VND3.9 trillion ($150.16 million).
The project aims to develop agriculture under a green-economy model while improving environmental conditions and promoting a circular approach to agro-forestry production.
The Central Highlands province of Dak Lak and the coastal province of Phu Yen were merged last July to form the new Dak Lak, which borders Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Cambodia, and the East Sea.
