The proposals were discussed during a working session last Thursday between provincial leaders and Thaco to review projects and future investment directions in the province.
Thaco currently has 10 projects either under implementation or in various stages of preparation in Lam Dong.
Of these, one project involves the acquisition of equity stakes in a winning bidder for the Golf Hotel 1 Da Lat project. Another is the proposed Thaco alumina complex in Da Huoai 2 commune and Bao Loc, which is currently in the stage of submitting investment approval documentation.
The remaining eight projects are in early research and planning stages, with proposals yet to be formally submitted to authorities.
Beyond the existing projects, Thaco chairman Tran Ba Duong expressed interest in developing industrial infrastructure, logistics, and preliminary studies for urban railways.
In reply, Lam Dong Chairman Ho Van Muoi signaled strong interest in leveraging Thaco’s capital and execution capacity to support the province’s long-term development strategy, particularly in transport connectivity, healthcare-resort complexes, and farm produce processing.
On July 1, 2025, the new Lam Dong province was formed following the merger of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong. It is now home to Lien Khuong airport. The province borders Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Cambodia, and the East Sea.
