Tesla regional recruiting manager Ricky Ip, who covers Greater China, Southeast Asia and India, announced the hiring drive on social media platform X on Wednesday, saying the company is looking for candidates to help bring its vision to Vietnam.
The openings include sales manager, service manager, human resources business partner, purchasing manager, and project developer for charging infrastructure.
The charging infrastructure role is particularly notable, as access to charging stations is a key factor in electric vehicle adoption and market development. Recruitment for sales and service positions also suggests Tesla is preparing resources for potential vehicle distribution and after-sales operations.
However, the recruitment announcement does not confirm when Tesla will officially launch vehicle sales in the country.
The hiring drive comes more than a month after Tesla established a legal entity in Vietnam. The company, Tesla Motors Vietnam Limited Liability Company, is headquartered at Me Linh Point Tower, 2 Ngo Duc Ke street, Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City, according to its business registration filing published on September 11.
Tesla Motors Vietnam’s primary business is wholesale and retail sales of automobiles, vehicle parts, machinery and equipment, as well as related import, export and distribution activities.
The Vietnamese entity has three legal representatives, including one Vietnamese national and two U.S. citizens. David Jon Feinstein, global senior director, Trade & Markets Finance at Tesla, serves as chairman. Isabel Ching Fan is general director, while Nguyen Manh Hung is assistant to the general director.
