According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC), Vietnam’s total trade in goods in the first half of the year saw a year-on-year increase of 16.4% to US$371.32 billion.
Total export turnover rose 17.3% to US$186.03 billion and the total export turnover increased by 15.5% to US$185.29 billion.
The country’s trade balance of goods in the first six months of 2022 had a surplus of US$0.74 billion.
In the first six month of the year, Bac Ninh Customs’ turnover increased by 24.4% year-on-year to US$86.84 billion, showing the largest turnover among 35 provincal customs departments.
HCM City Customs was up 11.9% to US$71.49 billion, Hai Phong Customs Department up 18.4% to US$51.91 billion, Ha Noi Customs Department up 36.6% to 31.68%, Binh Duong down 2% to US$26.56 billion, and Dong Nai up 11% to 21.93%.
Six customs departments with large scale of import and export turnover are located in two key economic regions of the country as the Red River Delta and the Southeast.
