Vietnamese special forces engaged in an anti-terror drill Friday, two weeks ahead of the 13th National Party Congress, the country's most important political event.

The Ministry of Public Security joined with the Ministry of National Defense in an anti-terror drill to ensure security ahead of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2, where the country's party chief, prime minister, president and the National Assembly chairperson will be elected for the new five-year term.
The drill took place at My Dinh Stadium Square in Hanoi's Nam Tu Liem District.
In a hypothetical scenario, guards were equipped with large-displacement motorcycles, with maximum speeds of 250 kph, to accompanying arriving guests to the groundbreaking ceremony.

A convoy of security personnel escort the motorcycle cavalcade.

A bulletproof Hummer adds beef to the brawn.

Guests arrive at the groundbreaking site, flanked by vigilant security personnel.

More than a dozen armed terrorists storm the gate.

Mobile police respond to the threat with gunfire.

Security guards use bulletproof shields to protect guests.

Two guards risk their lives by jumping onto a mine.

The bullets fly as opposing forces battle for supremacy.

Felled terrorists lie scattered across the scene.

Guests are rapidly escorted to safety.
