The National Assembly passed Resolution 86/2019/QH14 on State budget estimate in 2020.  

The NA passed State budget estimate including total State budget collection of VND 1,512.3 trillion; total state budget spending of VND 1,747.1 trillion. State budget overspending is VND 238.8 trillion, equivalent to 3.44% of total GDP including VND 217.8 trillion of central budget overspending (3.2% of GDP) and VND 17 trillion of local budget overspending (0.24% of GDP). 

In addition, VND 241,021 billion will be given to the National target program on sustainable poverty reduction in the 2016-2020 period. 

The Government was asked to perfect legal documents and speed up independence mechanism of public non-business units; and adjust the monthly wage from VND 1.49 million to VND 1.6 million for civil servants, public employees and those working in the armed forces./.
