The Ministry of Health reported 909 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning, raising the national caseload to 35,409.

The latest patients include four Vietnamese sailors who work for the Quang Minh vessel. On July 8, the vessel left Indonesia for the port of Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh province. The sailors were quarantined in the southern province of Tay Ninh upon arrival and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on July 13.
All the others are domestic infections recorded in HCMC (666), Dong Nai (80), Khanh Hoa (44), Ben Tre (43), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (19), Phu Yen (18), Vinh Long (17), Ninh Thuan (four), Tay Ninh (four), Kien Giang (two), Hue (two), An Giang (two), Bac Ninh (two), Soc Trang (one), and Binh Dinh (one). Of these, 688 cases were detected at quarantine camps or lockdown areas.
Among the national patient tally, 33,460 are locally-transmitted cases, including 31,890 documented in 58 cities and provinces since April 27 when the fourth wave of COVID-19 resurgence began.
Eleven provinces and cities out of the aforesaid localities have gone 14 days without a single community infection: Yen Bai, Quang Tri, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, and Hoa Binh.
The total recovered cases stood at 9,553 and the death toll was 132.
On July 13, 20,557 more people received COVID-19 vaccine shots, bringing the total doses administered in the country to nearly 4.08 million. A total of 283,884 people have been fully vaccinated./.
