The Ministry of Health announced 314 new community infection cases of COVID-19 on Thursday morning, raising the national caseload to 23,385.

The new patients are residents in Ho Chi Minh City (234) and Binh Duong (80). Of these, 264 local infection cases were uncovered in quarantine camps or lockdown areas.
Ho Chi Minh City is the hardest-hit locality in the current COVID-19 wave with 8,385 community infection cases, follwed by Bac Giang and Bac Ninh with 5,648 and 1,655 cases, respectively.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has been basically put under control, the situation in Southern Viet Nam is evolving rapidly and complicatedly, especially in Ho Chi Minh City - the country's biggest economic hub.
As of late Wednesday, 3,960,956 vaccine doses were administered, with 241,913 people fully vaccinated./.
