Cat Linh Ward in Hanoi's Ba Dinh District is among the first areas in the capital to test people for Covid-19 and vaccinate them all at once.

Cat Linh Ward erected a site for both Covid-19 testing and vaccination near Hang Day Stadium. Testing and health check-up booths are situated along Trinh Hoai Duc Street.

The ward plans to test and vaccinate over 400 people aged 65 and above Friday.

Hanoi is aiming to mass test the entire city and vaccinate all its adult population with at least one Covid-19 vaccine shot by Sept. 15.

Ba Dinh District on Friday collected samples from the whole district for testing, with support from the nearby Phu Tho Province. Nearly 4,000 health workers from 11 localities have been dispatched to Hanoi to help with Covid-19 testing and vaccination.

As everyone who came to the vaccination site Friday are elderly, health check-ups are very important. Most attendees are accompanied by family members.

After being tested and having their health checked, people would enter Trinh Hoai Duc Stadium to be vaccinated. The vaccine to be used is manufactured by Sinopharm.

Hanoi had recently received nearly a million Covid-19 vaccine doses by Sinopharm.
