Surrounded by green trees and fruit gardens, Khe Lang Green Farm in the central Ha Tinh Province has emerged as a new choice for those wishing to experience agritourism.

Khe Lang Green Farm covers 30 hectares in Dat Do Village, Thuong Nga Commune, Can Loc District. It is surrounded by hills, a large lake and green space.

The farm is about 30 kilometers from downtown Ha Tinh, reached within 40 minutes by car or motorbike.
The farm is entered via a one kilometer long road that snake through the forests.

Seen from above, the farm resembles a giant green carpet of fruit trees.

Le Van Hai (R), 47, the farm owner, said that four years ago, he bought the land and sought permission from local authorities to pilot an organic orchard model in combination with eco-tourism. It allows visitors to harvest fruit and prune trees, among others.
The farm is currently available for free.

The farmer grows around 1,500 dragon fruit trees that produce three crops a year, with each comprising 20 tons. Locals typically visit the farm to buy fruit on the spot.

Other fruit trees include green-skinned pomelo, orange, apple, guava and mango.

The farm also offers visitors a spot of fishing.

Those wishing to have lunch or dinner can contact the farm owner to enjoy homegrown dishes.

Khe Lang Green Farm has 17 full-time employees earning an average monthly salary of VND6 million ($263), besides seasonal workers.
