The Government on Tuesday discussed on a draft resolution on measures to support employees and and business owners with total funding of more than VND26 trillion (over US$1.13 billion).

The new resolution is expected to expand the scope of beneficiaries to include freelancers.

Earlier on Friday, the Politburo agreed that more support policies are needed for employees and employers facing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April last year, the Government issued Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP specifying measures to support those hit by COVID-19 with total funding of nearly VND62 trillion (US$2.69 billion)./.
