The second phase will be developed on an additional 1.4 hectares, lifting capacity by 25 million square meters of products per year. The expansion carries a fresh investment of about VND830 billion ($31.87 million). The project is expected to begin official operations by the end of 2028.
Beyond expanding output, the second phase will raise the scientific and technological intensity across the company’s value chain. It will add key segments including programming services, software production, computer consultancy, and information technology infrastructure management.
These segments play a pivotal role in supporting existing operations, accelerating digital transformation, streamlining management and operational processes, boosting labor productivity and product quality, and enhancing the company’s agility in responding to shifts in the global market.
The rollout of the second phase underscores the company’s strategy to further expand production capacity while reaffirming its long-term commitment to the locality. The strategic move also reflects the firm’s confidence in Vietnam’s investment climate and the region’s potential, according to KURZ Vietnam.
Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai People’s Committee, commended the investor’s commitment and direction in strictly complying with environmental protection regulations, applying advanced technologies, conserving energy, using resources efficiently and curbing emissions, while moving toward a green, clean and environmentally friendly production model that balances economic interests with social responsibility and ecological protection.
In May 2022, KURZ started construction of its $40 million inaugural facility in Vietnam. The factory covers 12 hectares at Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park in the former Binh Dinh province. Binh Dinh and Gia Lai were merged last July to form the new Gia Lai.
In September 2023, KURZ inaugurated its first thin-film manufacturing plant in Vietnam.
Coatings manufactured by Kurz are applied to carrier foils and used for a wide variety of products, including automotive components, cell phones, TVs, washing machines, furniture, packaging, books, textiles, bottle labels, and bank cards.
